Donna Blake leads the Jamaica Programme of The Nature Conservancy. The Conservancy is a not for profit, international, conservation NGO. She has a Masters’ Degree in Governance and Public Policy gained in 2004 from the University of the West Indies, gave her the needed skills to leave the environment Ministry after 10 years and to move into the non-profit world and follow her passion from another perspective. Achievements she is most proud of include contributing to the completion of the Jamaica Protected Areas System Master Plan; managing the Pedro Bank South West Cay Fish Sanctuary; and developing the capacity of local NGOs in many projects.
